This past weekend my family and I headed east to Illinios where my dad is from (and all of our family) and then we continued on to Indy for the third round of Endurocross. Sitting in 11th place in points, I was excited for what should have been a great weekend of racing. I had intended on hitting a local Ohio Hare Scramble, but by the time Thursday evening would come around, Mark Kariya had my dad talked into going to the OMA event just an hour outside of the city.

After missing most of the summer due to a Torn Labrum, the last two weeks have been some of the hottest of the year. Between my trip to Oklahoma where the 100 degree weather-coupled with Humidity worse than anything I have ever felt, and the Invaders Desert Scramble in Lucerne Valley, I am about done with hot weather.

Round one of the Geico Endurocross series went pretty much as well as it could have for me this last weekend. Considering that only two weeks ago I was worried that I would be having surgery on my shoulder, and really not knowing what to expect from my arm during the event, I felt like Saturday night just worked out perfectly.
