What is the biggest thrill that a rider could give to one of his fans, let them race your bike! Here is a little something special we did for one of my biggest fans!
This last weekend was the final race of the 2011 National Hare and Hound Series. I pretty much had the #4 spot locked up, and short of Destry DNFing and me winning there was no way I could move up in the points standings. For me, this weekend was about proving that I could win one of these races, and that was my plan… well until I broke my foot.
It has been a couple months at this point, but ESPN finally published the video of my X Games LCQ. Here is the LCQ Heat 1 in its entirety. I missed the main by 1 spot here, but it was a fun event none the less. Thanks to Cameron Steele for the props, and hopefully next year i can get it done at X Games!
This last weekend was a complete whirlwind with ups, downs, crashes, and excitement, but looking back on it all I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any better. I was in the X games, I did really well, and the team completely succeeded in our goal to get as much exposure in front of the live audience as possible. I can’t describe the feeling of actually making it in X games, and even leading a race at one point, but maybe this chance to give a race report will clue you in on exactly what I was feeling!
