With Round One of the District 37 Big Six Grand Prix series only one day away, Jacob Argubright has committed to teaming up with none other then D37 Desert Ace Justin Imhof.  The 2008 and 2009 District 37 250cc Number One plate holders will compete for their share of the $2500 Big Six Racing Semi-Pro Purse in Taft, Ca.

Friends and riding partners for the last three years, Argubright and Imhof will pair up and match witts with the likes of Kurt Caselli and Robby Bell at round one. With confirmations from both riders whom will ride with factory riders of similar backgrounds, the two "young guns" will hope to bring home a podium possition. Coming back from an injury suffered at Round one of the Desert Series approx 4 weeks ago, Imhof will be back on the bike for the first time this weekend.

"Im excited that Justin decided to ride with me." Explained Argubright, " I had called him earlier in the week, and he was unsure of his ability to ride, but last night we made the decision that he would be strong enough to give it a shot. He is a fast rider, and although he will be on his 250, we have a great shot of getting on the podium. I have actually looked forward to racing with him for about the last year. Due to scheduling conflicts it hasnt happened, but this weekend will hopefully be the start of something good."

Imhof will be aboard his Paul Kraus Racing/Blais Racing/KTM 250SX which is in his opinion the ideal 250cc machine. As a contender in both Desert and GP for the number one plate in 2009, Imhof will use his expert racing abilities to help get the duo on the podium.

"I am excited to race with Jake. He has always been someone i looked up to, and to be on the team with him is just proof that the two of us are the future of District 37. As a mentor Paul has taught be that this is where most great racers roots are from. I am excited to follow in their footsteps, and look forward to making Jake and the entire Off Road Support/Mona-Vie Emv team proud!"

Follow the racing live in Taft, Ca as Argubright and Imhof hit the track at 2 pm on saturday for the Pro Team Race. More information can be found on www.big6racing.com
