Argubright/Dodson Podium in the Dark

Jacob Argubright and Zach Dodson took second overall at the Prairie Dogs Night Race, Round Two of the Baja Designs Summer Night Series. Despite troubles light troubles on lap one, Argubright came into the pits first overall less then a second ahead of Ricky Brabec. “I lost my light about 4 miles into the loop, so I rode as hard as I could until it was just too dark. I turned my helmet light on, and tried to push through, but eventually I just couldn’t see! The last four miles I rode one handed and  held my helmet light with the other.”

While Dodson was out on his loop, Mechanic Ed Villanueva worked diligently to solve the problem, and got Jacob out for his last loop quickly enough to keep the team on the podium. Finishing just 10 seconds down of the leaders, Argubright and Dodson were happy to be on the podium, but knew that the next time they could be out front. “It was really hard with the dust! I got stuck behind Brabec the whole time. He got ahead of some quads, and they just wouldn’t let me by! I think it was a family or something, cause there were three of them moving really slow. I think I got to about a minute behind, because I pushed really hard for a long time to catch them. Next time I want to win.”
