The Kawasaki of Simi Valley Backed team of Jacob Argubright and Kyle Bristol teamed up to take the victory at the 2009 Seachlight Grand Prix. With perfect weather, and a town full of race fans, the event went off with a bang, and Kawasaki of Simi Valley showed the state of Nevada what they are about.

After crashing in the early morning pro race, which resulted in a missing footpeg and DNF, Argubright was determined to be up front. After spending two months down with Mono, and one week of rigorous training, Jacob and his friend Kyle Bristol set out to prove a point. The California desert races put the rest of the field to the test, and never backed down.

"After the first race where I went down, it seemed like everyone was out to get me. I think they knew that i was going to race hard, and they didn't want me to get out front. I led out of the moto section, and from there I never saw another body, except for the lappers!" Argubright explained.

In fact, untill they were clear of the start and encompaning motorcross section, the entire field battled for possition. Jacob and his 2009 KX450F pushed to the front and out cornered each of the other competitors. "It was good because since I got sick, I have really been concentrating on my moto skills. I know that my turning and starting is what  will help me be a better rider, and that is what I had worked on!"

Returning to the pits after one lap, Argubright already had a comanding lead. Kyle Bristol was up next, and eager to prove that he had it to. " This was my chance to prove that I was just as fast as everyone else! Jake did a great job of getting me the lead, and now I needed to prove that I could hold it. The track conditions were awsome, and I just really felt good." Bristol explained. "This will deffinately be on the must do list for next year, and I already can't wait to come back!"

The seven lap race took competitors through various fields, accross people front lawns, and event right down someones front porch. "It was so awsome" Argubright explained, " I rode right through some guys barn and he was just sitting there in a lawn chair cheering me on!" Endurocross at the end of the loop provided one last chance for the spectators to cheer on their favorite riders, and provided some of the best racing action of the weekend.

After taking a comanding lead off the start, the KSV/Off Road Support backed due proved their abilities and won the Pro Team Race over a very competitive field. With his first overall victory of the year, Bristol is back where he had hoped to be after three years of dissapointing leg injuries. " I had some trouble with my leg, I broke it, then got it fixed, then broke it again! I have had a good year of getting back into the swing of things, and this race today just shows that I can hang! Im thinking that there will be a few more of these wins in both mine and Jake's immediate future."

After competing in both morning races, Argubright remained geared up, and took the co-pilot seat in the Polaris Razor of Chris Blais. The two desert racers turned side-by-side racers took the lead when the top two machines were stuck in the endurocross. Chris Blais saw and opening, and argubright encourages and the two launched 10-feet into the air and over the tractor tires, a feat that nobody expected to see!

The Blais/Argubright team took overall honors in the Side by Side event and both racers were able to add one more trophy to their giant collection! KSV/Off Road Support is sponsored by Kawasaki of Simi Valley, Kawasaki Team Green, Pro Moto Billet, Fastway Performance, TBT Racing, IMS, FMF, BRP, Rekluse, Scotts, Dirt Digits, and 661.
