This last week has been like a whirlwind for me. I went down really hard in El Centro trying to make a pass on Kendall. While I was sitting there, somewhat out of it, I watched Gary Sutherlin stop for me, then Destry, then Pearson and Kamo and it sort of clicked in my head that I can ride at their level. The worst part to this was that sitting in the pits after I had gotten a ride back to camp, I had to watch all of those guys go by as I waited for the finish.

This last weekend was one of the most fun I have had all year. On Saturday I was able to play ride literally all day, and I think we went through about 3 tanks of gas.  It was cool to get out and ride with Bob Roberts and John Kearney whom I normally only see while I’m racing. We went up into some awesome single track trails that Bob showed us for the first time, and it worked out to be the perfect practice for the race on Sunday.

California is so awesome this year! It’s been a couple days since the race, but for like the 5^th time this year, we have had the chance to race on a weekend after heavy rain! It’s awesome!!!  Leading up to the race though, it was a couple days of stressful preparation!
